We kindly invite You to take part in an International Research and Practice Conference


(to the 50th anniversary of Russian Institute of Radiology and Agroecology)

16-18 September 2020, Obninsk

The conference is held as a part of the events dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Russian Institute of Radiology and Agroecology.

The aim of the conference is to discuss current issues, summarize, integrate and systematize theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of radiobiology, radioecology, agroecology and application of nuclear and physical technologies in agriculture and food industry.

Conference Objectives:

- the development of intellectual resources and scientific infrastructure in accordance with the objectives of the national project “Science” (Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 7, 2018 No. 204 “On National Goals and Strategic Goals of the Development of Russian Federation until 2024);

- exchange of experience and dissemination of new ideas and methods in the field of radiobiological and environmental research and environmental protection measures;

- popularization of scientific research in the field of radiation biology, radioecology and agroecology;

- establishment of creative contacts and cooperation.

- molecular and cellular radiobiology and radiation genetics

- effects of various types of radiation on microorganisms, pathogens, insect pests

  • Radioecology

- migration of radionuclides in natural and agricultural ecosystems

- monitoring of radiation hazardous facilities and risk assessment

- issues of rehabilitation of radioactively contaminated territories

- mathematical modelling, digital technologies in radioecology

  • Agroecology

- technogenic and agrogenic soil pollution

- agroecological monitoring

- technologies for the rehabilitation of technogenically contaminated agricultural lands

- migration of heavy metals and pollutants in agroecosystems, mathematical modeling

  • Nuclear and physical technologies in agriculture and food industry

- technical means and facilities for radiation treatment of products; experience in establishment of irradiation centres

- dosimetry and radiation safety, instrument, methodological and software support

- application of irradiation at treatment of different types of agricultural and food products: safety and quality of products

- standardization issues: international and national regulatory documents

- application of various physical methods and combined technologies for processing agricultural and food products (non-ionizing radiation, plasma technology etc.)


  • Oral presentation with publication of the contribution (in presence).
  • Poster presentation with publication of the contribution (in presence).
  • Publication of the contribution (not in presence).
  • Participation as an observer.

The Conference Programme will be formed after the paper submission and registration of participants.

July 1 - 20, 2020 – development of conference programme, distribution of informational announcement No. 2
September 1, 2020 – publication of conference proceedings book
